Henryetta’s Glitter Hitters Bring Home Two Tri-County Tournament Championships
HENRYETTA — It was a championship weekend for the Glitter Hitters youth baseball program as both the 6U T-Ball team and the 8U Coach Pitch team captured Tri-County Tournament titles.
The victories highlight a strong season for the young athletes and their coaches, who have spent months developing skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship on the diamond.
The 6U Glitter Hitters battled their way through tournament play to earn the championship trophy. The team is coached by Whitney Lawson, Timmy Lawson, Dillon Caywood, Kendall Minyard, and Brianna Watson.
The success continued in the 8U Coach Pitch division, where the Glitter Hitters also claimed the Tri-County Tournament championship. Their tournament win has earned them a path in the 2026 Oklahoma Kids Baseball State Tournament, scheduled for June 18-20 in Clinton. According to the Oklahoma Kids Baseball Association, Clinton is serving as the host site for the 8U State Championship this year.
The 8U team is coached by Whitney Lawson, Timmy Lawson, Dillon Caywood, and Maddix Lucero.
For many of the players, this is their first opportunity to compete at the state level, giving them a chance to represent Henryetta and the surrounding area against some of Oklahoma’s top youth teams.
Parents, coaches, and supporters have praised the dedication of the players throughout the season, noting the growth and determination shown by the young athletes both on and off the field.
The Henryettan congratulates both Glitter Hitters teams on their Tri-County Tournament championships and wishes the 8U squad the best of luck as they travel to Clinton for the Oklahoma Kids State Tournament.
