Southwest Airlines Adds Seasonal Nonstop Service Between Oklahoma City and Baltimore Oklahoma City - Travelers flying out of Oklahoma City
Charles Michael Bolt, a longtime Okmulgee resident, passed away peacefully at his home on August 4, 2025. He was born on January 21, 1941, to Carl Dieckmann and Ruby Marie (Barrick) Bolt.
Charles was an avid fisherman. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially during holidays and family reunions. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and took great joy in teaching his nephews about catching fish, running jug lines, shooting guns, and snakes. Some of his favorite memories were made camping down at Dripping Springs Lake with family.
Charles was always supportive, even when he thought you were making a questionable decision, he’d stand by you regardless. He especially cherished the time he spent fishing with his best friend, Steve, a tradition the two shared for over 40 years. He retired from Ball Brothers after 35 years.
He was also a member of the Okmulgee Elks Lodge.
Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Jean Bolt, both his parents, Carl Dieckmann and Ruby (Barrick) Bolt, his daughter, Michelle Bolt, sisters, Ellen Marie Bolt Turnball and Kathryn Louise Bolt, a brother, Danny Bolt, and stepmother, Stasia Beall.
He is survived by his sister, Sue Constable, nieces, Amber Grider and husband George, and Macey Jean Mattingly and her beloved dog Var, nephews, Jordan John Mattingly, Dillion Michael Mattingly and wife Marissa, and Talan Dean Mattingly and wife Sheridan, great nieces, Jaxey Mattingly and Melodee Mattingly (Little Jeannie), his best friends Steve and Peggy Brown, and a host of other family members, friends, and loved ones.
A special thank you to Good Shepherd Hospice for their kindness, care, and love they showed.
Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Charles’ Tribute Page of our website.
